There's a story behind this one. One Sunday, while at the beach art show, I overheard a tourist say something about meeting someone else on the pier, to which a scruffy looking homeless woman passing by retorted angrily, "It's a WHARF, not a pier!"
This painting started out as a single panel, but just begged for company. The last panel (the one with the wharf) took on a mind of its own. I hadn't planned on there being a wharf in there....but, alas, there came the wharf. So, "It's a Wharf!" seemed like a good name for this painting.
